in order to achieve the Vision of the organization.
Charter
(a) One of the most important tasks at hand for our organization is to persuade government agencies to accept UAVs as useful and then to guide policy decisions that will help them be widely accepted. We must change the current perception of UAVs as threats or nuisances and present them as a way to boost commerce, productivity and, ultimately each country’s GDP. To do that, these vehicles must be bound by rules that prevent mishaps and conflict with current aviation as well as terrestrial traffic.
(b) Create a vibrant marketplace for UAV products and services
Most people think of UAVs either as science fiction or toys. Today many toy “drones” are available in the marketplace and are generally used by children or hobbyists in the same way toy model airplanes or cars were used in the past. The side dissemination of Articles and News about the uses and benefits of UAVs will help educate both businesses and individuals and thus create a vibrant marketplace for such vehicles.
(c) encourage the legal and ethical use of Unmanned & Autonomous Vehicles in India (Internationally for IUAVA)
Only by educating individuals and businesses to use UAVs within a widely accepted legal and ethical framework, can we achieve our mission and vision. By creating trust, we can expect support from society, government and the corporate world. This will encourage the widespread use of UAVs.
(d) encourage the sharing of information and the dissemination and cross-licensing of technology to benefit individuals and companies developing products and services in this area.
For an industry in its infancy (literally, practical use is only a few years old) collaboration through the exchange of ideas, intellectual property and information is key to its growth.
(e) Encourage trade and partnerships in this domain
Ultimately, the UAV industry and our organization will only survive through the vigorous pursuit of profitable and meaningful opportunities to serve the interests of businesses and individuals. Thus encouraging all kinds of trade in this domain as well as partnerships that facilitate such trade must be encouraged.
